All classes Junior Infants to 2nd, which will take place in St Declan’s next Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The workshop is free of charge. Children will learn how to do a safety check on their scooter, how to fit their cycle helmets and learn basic scooting skills in a safe and fun environment . It is very helpful for improving children’s balance and co-ordination and building confidence. If your child has a scooter and helmet please send it in with them on the day of your child’s workshop (please see time table below). Children bringing scooters to school need to dismount from them before they enter the school grounds and walk them into the yard. Scooters can be left outside the classroom doors. Helmets can be brought into the classrooms. Children are asked to walk their scooters out the school gates at 3pm. No scooting on the yard.
