Digital Learning

Digital Learning

St Declan’s N.S excels in digital learning. We have interactive panels, interactive whiteboards, visualisers, and digital cameras in each classroom. Along with this there is a set of beebots, a set of ten student cameras, a laptop trolley containing 16 devices, and a set of iPads designated to the SEN department and an iPad trolley containing 20 devices which was partly funded by a generous donation from the Parents Association in spring 2014 (see below picture). In 2019 we purchased another trolley of 20 iPads which was funded by the IT grant from the Department.

The children in St Declan’s are encouraged to use digital media to create projects and complete assignments in all subject areas. I.T is always a top priority as we are preparing children for the 21st century therefore they require 21st-century skills.

We have a Digital Schools Week every year to promote digital learning in St. Declan’s. We also obtained the Digital Schools of distinction award.
