Violin Music Generation

Our 3rd and 4th class pupils will be learning how to play the violin this year. The programme will be delivered through Music Generation Meath. This new organisation is a performance music education service for  children and young people in County Meath that will provide opportunities for children and  young people to access a range of high quality, subsidised vocal and instrumental tuition in  their local area. Music Generation Meath is managed and funded locally by Louth and  Meath ETB and Meath County Council.  A tutor from Music Generation will come to the school every  Monday to deliver the lessons. The programme itself is heavily subsidised by Bono of U2  fame and the Government. In addition, money from last year’s Parents’ Association  fundraising will be used to reduce the cost to parents. It is a fantastic  opportunity for our children and who knows what doors it will open for them into the future.
