Gerard Siggins was born in Dublin in 1962. Initially a sports journalist, he worked for many years in the Sunday Tribune, where he became assistant editor. He has written several books about cricket and rugby. His Rugby Spirit series has sold over 50,000 copies and is hugely popular with sports-loving children around the world. Gerard was in Ashbourne Library today and Mr Mulroe’s 4th class got to go to listen to him talk about hs new book Rugby Runner. They have been reading the book in school with Mr Mulroe this week.

Eoin Madden is captain of the Junior Cup team, training with Leinster and aiming for Ireland’s Under 16 World Cup team. He also has to deal with grumpy friends, teachers piling on the homework – AND a ghost on a mission that goes back to the very origins of the game of rugby.
