We wish Canice Fitzsimons (Dad of Joseph Fitzsimons, Junior Infants, Room 26) and his brother Robert the very best of luck for their 250km run from Ashbourne to Donegal, to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. They started their journey today from the Briars and our 3rd, 4th and 5th classes went down to cheer them on as they were passing Alderbrook. The aim is for them to run 50km a day for five days, more than a marathon a day. This year marks the 30th anniversary of losing their Mam, Rita Fitzsimons, to breast cancer. We wish them both a safe journey.
