We had a super day in St. Declan’s for World Book Day. The children and some of the teachers dressed up as their favourite character from a book. Lots of different visitors came in to read stories to the different classes. Rory O’ Connor from Rory’s Stories came in to talk to the three 6th classes about looking after their mental health. He told them a few stories about when he was in school in St. Declan’s. The children got book vouchers to spend in certain book shops. The older classes went to some of the younger classes to read a story. Some class created stories using the chrome books and lots of classes decorated their noticeboards with book themed art work. Thank you to Ms Mc Enroy for organising the day for us. We really enjoyed it .
