Visit from Alan Tobin
Alan Tobin came into to our school yesterday to speak to the 5th and 6th class pupils about the Broadmeadow River in Ashbourne. The Broadmeadow river flows from Ratoath through Ashbourne and enters the sea near Swords, Co Dublin. He told them about the community action group who is helping tackle litter and pollution in and around the River Broadmeadow in County Meath. They have regular clean up days and encourage all members of the community to come and help. He spoke about the aquatic creatures living in the river and how they are under threat from the litter. They are working towards having the river clean by 2027.We all play a part in keeping our envirnoment clean and free from pollution.
