Time to Count programme provides support on numeracy skills to 3rd class primary school children. It aims to help children develop their numeracy skills and to experience fun whilst playing maths based games and activities.

Volunteers from Tayto Snacks, Kilbrew Ashbourne chose our school to work with and are offering their support in implementing the programme in Mrs Brick’s class. In line with best practice in child protection guidelines, all volunteers have been Garda Vetted. The sessions will take place in groups in the classroom with Mrs Brick present. The programme will run for 10 weeks every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm.

We launched the programme in Room 9 on Thursday the 23rd of November. The children got to meet Yasmin, the regional coordinator of Business in the Community Ireland. They also met Oonagh and Anne-Marie from Tayto Snacks who are going to coordinate the programme. For the first 5 weeks the children will be working with Pearse, Aoife, Angela, Michelle and Hailey. Thank you to all involved for taking part in this programme. We hope it will be very successful.
