Every parent/guardian is automatically a member of the Parents Association by virtue of the fact that their child is enrolled in the school.

While all parents are part of the parents association, not all can be involved or need to be involved in the day-to-day business of organising the work.  It is for this reason that parents elect a committee.

 

The Committee:

The Committee is the team of people who manage the tasks of the parent association on behalf of all the parents.  The parents association committee needs to work as a team in order to be effective.  Teamwork is more important than individual roles such as secretary, chairperson or treasurer.

The committee manages the business of the parent association in accordance with the constitution of the parent association.
