Students Council Visit the Dail
On Thursday the 28th of April the Students Council headed off to the Dail with Ms O’Halloran and Ms Garry.Upon arrival the students first visited the Dail chamber where TD’s were discussing the prospect of a second election. The Students Council sat and listened with interest from the upper balcony viewing area. They were guided to the portrait gallery of previous taoiseachs of Ireland and down towards the chamber of the seanad where the guide explained the fundamental differences between TDs and senators. The children were mostly impressed when they laid eyes on one of the original copies of the Irish proclamation. The children had a terrific day out visiting the Dail, and brought back lots of interesting information for all their classmates.
