Our student council visited Dáil Éireann on Monday 13th of May 2024. It was a special day as the students got to visit the different houses of the Oireachtas and learn about how the Government of Ireland runs and works. They visited the Dáil chambers, Seanad chambers and learned about the history of the Fitzgerald family who once lived in Leinster House. It was a special day and you never know, maybe some members of our student council will be back in the Dáil representing the people of Ashbourne as TD’s in the future. Thank you to Ms Carey for organising the trip and going with the children on the day.
