We had a special treat on Friday the 3rd of May when M and M Theatre Productions visited our school for a performance of The Wizard of Oz.

The show was packed with fun, laughter, excitement, great music and larger than life characters. The costumes , scenery and special effects created an exciting and theatrical experience for the audience and the children loved it. There were lots of familiar tunes to sing along to and even some of the teachers got to take part whether they wanted to or not !!

Our 5th and 6th classes took part in a theatre workshop as well after the show and they learned about acting, drama skills, lighting and sound and what is required to put a show together.  They also had a look at costumes and props. It was a fun and interactive workshop and the children enjoyed it.
