STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. It involves critical thinking, problem solving, communication and reflection. Ms Carey’s 5th class were busy this week building bridges from different materials. They to plan the project and bring in suitable materials to test before they put the final model together. They had to consider strength, durability, creativity and height. The children worked in groups. They really enjoyed the project and designed some fantastic bridges. Who knows maybe some of our 5th class children in Room 2 will go onto become engineers in the near future.
