Sports Day 12-06-2015

It was a gloriously sunny day in  Ashbourne  today as the sun beamed down on all the boys and girls in St. Declan’s. We had a fun filled day of activities followed by a  very successful cake sale. Children from Junior Infants to second put the wheels in motion from 10-12 am followed by 3rd to sixth classes from 12 30-2 30 pm. Lots of parents came along to cheer the children on. We had the following stations…………..Clothes peg game, obstacle course, golf, bottle target game, tug-of-war, water races, relay races, egg and spoon, beanbag races and a clothes race. The children were a credit to their teachers and parents and were really well behaved. A big thank you to Mr Clarke for coordinating the day and to all the teachers and students who helped out at each station. The day ran very smoothly as a result. The Parents Association put on a great show as usual at the cake sale. Thank you to all who baked and sent in goodies for the event and to all the parents who gave up their time to help out on the day. Have a look at the action on the pitch………..
