Ms. O’Halloran’s 4th class, Room 9 had a fantastic time visiting Ashbourne Library on Wednesday the 21st of May as part of Biodiversity Week! The session was presented by Jesmond Harding, one of Ireland’s leading butterfly experts, who shared fascinating facts about butterflies and their life cycle. They saw a variety of butterflies, caterpillars, cocoons, moths, and even frogs and newts. Some of the children were even brave enough to hold them! (A lot braver than their teacher) A big thank you to Ashbourne Library and Jesmond for such a memorable experience.
