Room 7 5th Class Rain Cloud Experiment
Ms O’Donnell’s 5th class tried a rain cloud experiment. They followed the following steps below.
Step one: Fill the vase ¾ full of water
Step two: Fill the top of water with white foamy shaving cream. Spread the shaving cream evenly so that it is flat at the top.
Step three: Mix a separate bowl of water and food colouring. Using a dropper or spoon, start adding the coloured water to the shaving cream.
Step four: Watch the cloud hold the coloured water until it becomes too heavy and the coloured water starts to rain!
Different amounts of shaving foam gave very different results!
