Procedural Writing
For the month of September all classes were working on the genre Procedural Writing.
What is procedural writing?
Procedural texts are common factual genres that provide instructions on how to do something. Students encounter procedural texts in most learning areas; in lots of subject areas and throughout all years of schooling.
The purpose of procedural texts is to provide sequenced information or directions so that people can successfully perform activities in safe, efficient and appropriate ways.
Procedures are common texts that students are supported to read, write and understand.Procedural recounts are written to report on the activity.
