We have had a very busy 2018!!

The boys and girls in 2nd class enjoyed learning a dance for the school disco. They learned how to line dance to the song ‘Wagon Wheel’.

2nd class have been very energetic this year doing both hurling and swimming every week. In hurling, they learned about the different parts of a hurley and how to balance a sliotar by using a beanbag. In swimming, they learned many different strokes including the backstroke, the dolphin, the pizza (breaststroke) and the butterfly stroke.  The children got the chance to play in the snow and to go inside a real life igloo! The children learned a little bit about their locality by studying photographs and talking to their friends.Here they are predicting if items will float or sink before testing and logging the results.
