St. Declan’s pupils were in a very happy mood today and are really looking forward to the big game on Sunday between our local club Donaghmore Ashbourne and Navan O’ Mahony’s. The game will take place in Pairc Tailteann on Sunday the 19th of October at 3 30pm. No doubt a huge crowd from Ashbourne and St. Declan’s will be there to cheer on the boys in green. The team have not been in a Senior final since 1943, so excitement is a fever pitch. We are especially proud of the fact that the team captain Brian Menton is a past pupil of ours who started off his footballing career here in St. Declan’s. Let’s hope he pays us a visit with the Keegan Cup next week !!!
