Congratulations to all the boys and girls from Ms Crowley’s 2nd class Room 19 who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday the 8th of August. It wasn’t the day they had planned but it was still a very special day for all the families invoved. As we had to restrict numbers we had many family members join us for the ceremony via the parish webcam.

Thank you to Ms Crowley for working with the children throughout the year and helping them to prepare for the sacrament. Thank you to Father Ciaran and Father John for celebrating the ceremony and to Rosemary Hussy for her beautiful singing.

The children all looked super and they received communion certificates and rosary beads after mass and a goodie bag organised by our Parents Association.

We wish the children and their families the very best and huge congratulations from all the staff in St. Declan’s.
