Fifth and Sixth Class October Assembly
This assembly we had the theme of All Saints and All Souls which will be celebrated on the first and second of November. All the children wrote a special intention for someone they loved in class during the week and we brought them to assembly and we thought about those people as we said our prayer.
All saints all souls
Remember those
Who kept the faith
Who always turned to pray.
Who showed the love of Jesus
In their lives from day to day.
Remember those this special time
Who live with God above
All saints all souls and all our own
Who live with God in love.
Cormac, Edward and Alex read out prayers of the faithful. We prayed for people in heaven, the sick, and our families.
The following children won the pupil of the month award.
Victoria from Room 2
Christopher from Room 24
Alexia from Room 25
Timmur from Room 4
Tomas from Room 5
The best line award for the month went to Room 5.
The best dressed class went to Room 24 .
For the next assembly we are continuing to work on the school rule behaviour on yard as we need to improve in this area.
Mr Reidy spoke about Mrs Reilly’s class and Ms Jenkinson’s classes who are going to be taking part in the Young Entrepreneur Programme this year. It is an initiative that brings real entrepreneurial learning into the classroom. The children use their creativity to come up with some business ideas. They choose one idea and work on it over ten-twelve weeks. We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing their projects.
Ms Jenkinsons’s class performed a fantastic version of Thriller to put us in the Halloween mood.
We ended assembly with a Halloween poem. Happy Halloween !!1
