Ms Carey’s 5th class have been very busy creating diorama projects.  A diorama is a miniature scene created in a shoebox. The children all brought in an old shoebox for the project. They discussed a theme they could use and decided upon a Christmas theme. They designed a background using materials or painted a background on the box and a base for the shoebox. They brought in old white socks to make snowmen and snowwomen. They used materials like cotton wool, crepe paper, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, pine cones, googly eyes, buttons etc to create accessories for their snowmen and snowwomen. Have a look at the results. They are excellent.
