Well done to all the boys and girls who received nominations and congratulations to all the children who won prizes. It’s great to see everyone working so hard.

We spoke about the hard work all the teachers and children had put in to prepare our online performances this year. All performances will be sent home via Seesaw and Aladdin for parents to view. A special thanks to Mr Mc Keown for co-ordinating the event.

We discussed the 12 days of Fitmas which was organised by the Active Schools Committee. Conor from Room 5 spoke at our 3rd/4th class assembly and Chloe G from Room 7 spoke at our 5th/6th class assembly. We are hoping to renew our Active Schools Flag this year and active breaks are so important as part of working towards the flag.  Thank you to Mr Farrell who is our Active Schools co-ordinator.

Our Santa visit was very successful and Santa was very happy with the behaviour of all the boys and girls in Dt. Declan’s NS. Luckily we are all on the nice list.

Ms O’Malley’s 3rd class had a Christmas song recorded that we played at assembly and Mr Melia’s 5th class told us some very funny Christmas jokes.

We ended our virtual assemblies by wishing each other a very Happy Christmas. We all know it’s still really important to keep staying safe by washing our hands and practising social distancing. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2021.
