Córfhéile 2023
Well done to all 5th Class pupils who are members of the school choir that performed with gusto at Córfhéile na Scoileanna on Thursday the 2nd of March. Córfhéile is a non-profit making, voluntary organization that aims to provide an opportunity for children in primary school right around Dublin to perform in a non-competitive music festival. The children that perform in the Córfhéile do so for the enjoyment of singing, for the love of playing music or the desire to participate in a play or drama. Córfhéile is about developing confidence and a feeling of self-esteem for having performed in front of a large audience.
They children gave a fantastic performance of 3 songs/medleys. Special well done to Mrs. O’Rourke (piano) and Mr. McKeown (guitar) who have been working tirelessly with the choir over the past year and who were supported by Ms. O’ Doherty as conductor over the past few weeks. They did a great job and we are very thankful to them. Thanks also to our 5th Class Teachers Mr. Barry, Mr. Quinn, Ms. McGee and Mr. Melia for their support with the choir and our SNA Michael Deegan.
