Our Confirmation Ceremony will take place on Saturday the 24th of February, at 3pm. Please try to be seated by 2.40 pm. Three families are assigned to each seat (4 people per family), and there will be room at the back of the Church for members of your extended family.
Please note that NO VIDEOS OR PHOTOGRAPHS are allowed during the ceremony as this distracts the children. At the end of the ceremony there will be an opportunity for family photographs on the steps of the altar. We are asking everyone to be respectful during the ceremony, especially when the children are being confirmed.
All mobile phones to be turned off.
Confirmation children, their parents, families and friends are invited to St. Declan’s School for refreshments on Saturday, 24th of February after the ceremony. All are welcome. Norman Blakeney the photographer will be in the school on Monday the 26th of February. Whether you wish to avail of his services or not, please send your child in on Monday dressed in his/her Confirmation clothes as a group photograph of each class will be taken. The following is a rough timetable of the order of the photographs.
9 15 am – 9 30 am- Class photographs of Room 5, 6 and 7 will be taken. Please make sure the children are on time for school.
We are providing light refreshments for the children and their families in the school after the ceremony. The Parent’s Association would welcome donations of cakes, biscuits or sandwiches. All donations can be left with Joanne at reception this Friday the 23rd of February. If anyone would like to help serve tea/coffee on Saturday please contact Jennifer Mulvey on 087 7902422. We are asking children from Rooms 2,3,4,20,24 and 25 for the donations this year.
