Fifth and Sixth Class Assembly

We started our assembly today for 2015-2016. We started with a prayer and then Mr Reidy welcomed everyone to the hall

We are all going to work on the school rule behaviour on yard for the assembly next month.
Four children from each class were nominated for the Pupil of the month trophy. Then one child from each was picked. The following children were the winners.
Mia from Room 4 5th Class
Dalin from Room 5 5th Class
Alex from Room 25 6th Class
Amy from Room 2 6th Class
Jade from Room 24 6th Class

The class with the best line was Room 4 Ms Jenkinson’s Class. They get to have extra time on the yard on a day teacher picks. DSCF5999
The best dressed class went to Room 2 and Room 25. They get to use a homework pass on a night of their choosing.
Mrs Reilly’s 5th class performed the poem “On the Ning Nang Nong”

Mr Reidy spoke to the children about importance of being involved in school sport. We gave Laura Izegbu a round of applause for winning a bronze meadl in the All Ireland under 11 one hundred metres final which took place during the Summer.
We finished assembly with an uplifting rendition of Ireland’s Call
