Workspace Wizardry Showcase
Our three 3rd classes were selected for the Workspace Wizardry Showcase, a special initiative from Google and Olus Education. This exciting programme gave pupils the chance to build their digital skills and explore how Google Drive and other Workspace tools can support their learning. Over two months, the children engaged in a range of interactive modules. They learned how to navigate Google Drive, organise their work, and create engaging Google Slides presentations using the school Chromebooks. These sessions encouraged creativity, independence, and teamwork, and the children responded with great enthusiasm. As part of the showcase, every pupil completed a project on Internet Safety, linking with our SPHE curriculum and activities from Safer Internet Day. They explored key topics such as online privacy, cyberbullying, and how to stay safe online. Using their new digital skills, they created thoughtful and visually impressive presentations. A small group of students had the exciting opportunity to visit Google’s offices in Dublin to present their projects, accompanied by Mr. McKeown, Ms. Gallagher, Mr. Melia, and Mr. McLoughlin. Well done to all the pupils for their fantastic work and enthusiasm. We are grateful to Google and Olus Education for this valuable learning experience.
