Third and Fourth Class June Assembly

Welcome here today to our last assembly for the year. We remember all the good times we had this year with our teachers and friends in St. Declan’s. We look forward to our Summer holidays spent with our families and to coming back refreshed and relaxed for a new school year in September.

We thank you God for all the friends we have in school. We have formed some new friendships this year and we hope they stay strong in years to come. Lord Hear Us

We thank you God for all our teachers and staff of St. Declan’s who have been with us every step of our journey this year. We thank them for their guidance and support throughout the year. We pray especially for Mr Reidy that he will have a healthy and happy retirement. Lord Hear Us.

We thank you God for our parents who have helped us all year with our homework, listened to our problems and been there for us in every way possible. We are very lucky to have such good parents. Lord Hear Us.

Awards/ Achievements
Active School’s Week was really successful. Well done to all children who were involved in different activities during the week. Sports Day was a great success.
Well done to everyone who helped raise money for the 5km fun run. Four thousand one hundred a and five euro was raised.
Pupil of the month trophies- We aren’t doing pupil of the month or gaeilgeoir na miosa but I’m sure you will all be busy working towards it next year.

I want to thank you all and your teachers for all the hard work this year. We have some great memories from this year……., active schools week, book week, science week, goal jersey day, quiz team, Christmas concerts, Christmas jumper day, PA school disco, friendship week , winning the Fingal League, Blake Cup and Division One Shield, and of course my retirement mass which was a very special day for me to celebrate with the entire school. I want to thank everyone for making my last year in St. Declan’s a very special one to remember. I hope you all have a very happy and relaxing July and August with your families here in Ireland or wherever you may be. I want to wish you all the very best of luck next year with your new principal
