Our postman Neil, father of Caoimhe and Ava in Room 14, Daniel in Room 25 and Ciara in Room 7 delivered a very special parcel from the North Pole this week. A big box with Mr Reidy’s name arrived to school the other day. Mrs Collier helped Neil to carry in the box.

We were absolutely delighted to find our old friend Deckythe elf  inside the box and he brought with him his best elf friend called Eddie.

There was a letter inside the box for Mr Reidy and all the children in St Declans………….

To all the boys and girls in St Declan’s.

This is a special letter to let you know that two important members of my North Pole SAS Team (that’s Santa’s Annual Surveillance Team ) have been delivered to Mr Reidy, St Declan’s NS Ashbourne.

Please allow me to introduce my very special elves. Decky the elf who visited your school last year and his best friend Eddie. They are my oldest and most trusted Christmas elves, and I hope you will all take very good care of them. They live in the North Pole with myself, Mrs Claus and all the other elves and the reindeers.

Decky and Eddie will stay in your school until the day of your Christmas holidays. Then they have to come home to the North Pole to hand in an elf report which will tell me how good all the boys and girls from St. Declan’s have been. Let’s hope it will be a good report !!!

While Decky and Eddie are usually very well behaved , they can be mischievous at times. Please keep an eye out for their tricks and pranks.

We are so happy to have our old friend Decky back with us as we had great fun with him last year. Mrs Collier hopes he will bebetter behaved this year as he wa quite naughty last year. Maybe Eddie will be a good influence on him ???
