We had a super day of sunshine for our school marathon. Our school pitch was cut leaving perfect running conditions for the event. All classes from Junior Infants to sixth participated in the event running an impressive distance of 42.195 kilometres in two hours thirty eight minutes and eight seconds.  The children ran in groups, pairs and individually depending on their class level. Even some of our teachers ran a few laps. Thank you to our Parents’ Association who organised the event and to Ciarán Sloan from Fitter Younger marathon who ran the event. Everyone agreed it was a great day. All money raised can be sent in with your child’s class teacher by Wednesday the 20th of October.
