We had a very special visitor fly in from the North Pole to St. Declan’s the day before our Christmas holidays. Santa visited all the children in St. Declan’s as they have all been so good in the run up to Christmas.  Amelia from Room 17 rang the bell for Santa as he entered the hall. He said he will try his very best to deliver all the presents the children are asking for. Each teacher got a message from Santa to say that all the classes in St. Declan’s were on the nice list. The children were treated to some lovely Christmas tunes from our 5th class choir. Thank you to Mr Keown and Mrs O’ Rourke for coordinating the entertainment on the day. Well done to Ms Leggett’s Senior Infants who received cupcakes from Santa for the class that brought in the most money for the school marathon in October. They brought in over 800 euros. Many thanks to Trish Farrell for baking the cupcakes for the children. They were delicious !!
