Our four 6^th classes went to 10am mass yesterday in Ashbourne. They sang some lovely hymns and were extremely well behaved throughout the mass. Our three 2^nd classes joined them after mass with Father Ciaran. We had a short prayer service and read the story of Christmas. Ms Mc Hugh’s class read prayers of the faithful and Ms Kelly’s class read a Christmas poem. The children came up in groups to say a prayer at the crib and to look at the Advent wreath. We sang some Christmas hymns. Thank you to Mr Mc Keown and Mrs O’Rourke for accompanying the children. The children were excellent and have been invited back down to mass in the New Year.
