Emma from the RSA is in our school this week to talk to the children about road safety. All classes from Junior Infants to sixth have attended a presentation . Emma spoke to the children about the importance of keeping safe on the road when walking to school by foot/bike and in the car. She showed the children the Safe Cross Code on the whiteboard and they got to play games and partake in quizzes. She spoke in particular of the importance of wearing booster seats when travelling in a car and to always wear your seatbelt She discussed the rules of the road when cycling your bike and to always remember to wear a helmet.. Lets hope the children from St. Declan’s will always stay safe on the road !!
