Ms Jenkinson’s 6th class and Ms Quinlan’s 2nd class got to visit Supervalu yesterday to take part in a healthy eating workshop. Both classes are involved in the Super Trooper Programme which is an online resource that is used with the classes to promote a healthier lifestyle through physical activities in the classroom and as part of homework. It is a programme aimed at helping children become more active and to involve parents in their children’s activities as part of a healthier lifestyle. Parents are also given nutritional tips and healthy recipe ideas. Supervalu sponsors this programme and invited two of our classes down to try out some healthy foods.
