In 6th class we have been working on the strand of  fabric and fibre for the last two weeks in art. We began by making some beautiful stitch work pieces on hessian fabric.

We then explored batik art . In order to do this, selected areas of our pieces of  cloth  were blocked out by  drawing  a mixture of flour and water  over them. We then painted the cloth. We are looking forward to removing the parts covered in the hardened flour and water to leave behind our design that we originally created.

 

 

We really enjoyed Maths week last week. We played lots of fun maths games and went on a maths trail around the school. We had a maths quiz on Friday and the winning team comprised of Leon, Edward and Conor. Congrats boys
