Ms Mc Nulty’s first class had a lovely morning today helping to plant some fruit trees outside St. Declan’s NS. Thanks to Irene Blanes Villatoro (Mum to Maci in Room 16) for involving the children in planting the trees. They planted three pear trees and three apple trees. Trees can grow from roots, cuttings or seeds. They learnt about the importance of bees for pollinating flowers and trees. They children took turns to help dig the holes in the ground and plant the trees. Let’s hope they grow now!
