Our school basketball team has been very busy over the last couple of weeks. 12 girls and 12 boys were picked from the two 6th classes and have been training hard every Wednesday after school since January. Our girls team made it all the way to the semi finals. The team was made up of Hannah Tumbleton, Rebecca McCarthy Moore, Erin Browne ,Jennifer Fox, Freya Dolan, Áine Robertson, Laura Bolster, Ana Farrell, Luka Ramanauskaite, Aimee Gore, Abigaile Sarmukaite and Ava Carroll.

  Our boys team travelled to Navan to play St.Anne’s in their semi final. After a very tough matcch, we came back from being down to win the game by one basket. The finals day took place on Friday 28th April in Trim Sports Centre. We were up against a strong Wilkinstown side. St.Declan’s took home the cup winning 8-5. Captain Paddy O’Brien and vice captain Brandon O’Beirne accepted the cup and plaque on behalf of the team. Check out all of the pictures and actions shots below.
