First class have been doing some great work on floating and sinking. We have done some experiments and tested some misconceptions we had about things that float and things that sink. We discovered that size has very little to do with whether something will float. Also we looked at different materials that usually float and ones that don’t! We were able to look at these materials and identify the similarties and differences between them. Then we looked at the effects of air and how it helps things to float. Teacher gave us a project to do……. (aren’t we growing up fast!!!), we had to design and make a boat that floats! Teacher gave us a week to do this. We were thrilled to test them and to find that nearly all of them were floating sensations 🙂 Well done us!
