Fire Safety Art Competition
We had a visit today from Declan Cassidy, chief fire officer from Ashbourne Fire Station and Olivia Carpenter from the Fire Service Department. Declan brought fireman Pat and fireman Ronnie to promote a fire safety art competition that is being run by Meath County Council. This competition is to help promote Fire Safety Week which aims to enhance fire safety, particularly in the home and that we are “Safer Together”. People will also be encouraged to check in on their neighbours in the Community, particularly the elderly and vulnerable.
The overall prize for the art competition is 500 euros and the winning pictures will be used for the Fire Safety Calendar 2024. Hopefully we might have some winners from St. Declan’s NS.
