On Wednesday the 12^th of February Mr Mulroe’s 3^rd class attended a Fighting Words Workshop in Cabinteely. This creative writing centre established was established by Roddy Doyle and Sean Love. As part of the creative writing workshop the children wrote an original story which was then typed up onto a big projection screen in the Fighting Words centre. They called their book The adventure of the red jumper.  The children decided on the characters and plot and edited the story along the way.. They then added illustrations to the story. The class wrote the first part of the story together as a group, then each child got the opportunity to write their own individual ending to the story. The story and illustrations were bound, and each child received a copy of the book to take home. They were very well behaved and really enjoyed the experience. We can’t wait to see more of their creative writing.
