St. Declan’s recently took part in the FAI school soccer tournament. It took place in the MDL in Navan. Members of the selected team were Habir Murtila, Ryan Murphy, Sean Tyrell, Matthew Kenny, Rhys Thomas, Matthew Scanlon, Jack Doran and Karl Delahunty. The team performed exceptionally well and managed to top their group and proceed to the play offs on the day. They gave it everything but unfortunately lost 2-1 and failed to make the next stage of the competition. This is the furthest the school has progressed in recent years and the boys can be very proud of their achievements. Hopefully we can go one better next year. Well done boys. Super stuff !!
