A Cycling Safety Programme will take place in the school shortly. Our three sixth classes will be participating in the programme which is provided by the Cycling Safety and Skills School. The course will consist of six practical sessions covering safe equipment, rules of the road, starting and stopping, road positioning, shoulder checking, turning left and right and overtaking. Bicycles and helmets will be supplied. At the end of the course each child will be given a certificate of participation. The cost will be 13 Euro per child. The programme is subsidised by the Department of Education and the RSA. Consent forms have been sent home with the 6th class children and a message has been sent on Alladin for payment to be made online.
