Cumann na mBunscol Success
There was huge excitement last Sunday the 27th of November when our Senior Boys Football Team played against Ratoath SNS in the Division One final of the Cumann na mBunscol in Pairc Tailteann, Navan. They put in a very impressive performance and we were so proud when they lifted the cup in victory. It has been 42 years since St. Declan’s had a team in the Division One final so it was a major achievement for all involved. Thank you to the team who have worked so hard for the past number of years under the mentoring of Mr Melia, Mr Lydon, Mr Barry and previously Mr Farrell. Thank you to Karen and Joanne for organising buses and ringing home for football boots, gum shields etc. Thank you to the class teachers and Special Education teachers for covering classes. Our final thanks goes to all the parents who supported this group of boys along the way. We had a medal presentation for the team in the hall for the team. Have a look at the video links below.
