We were very busy experimenting in Room 7 last week! For Science Week, we carried out an experiment to see which liquid would clean our dirty old coins the best! We had lots of fun and were really surprised at our results.
We found out that the salt and vinegar cleaned the dirty coins the best because the acid in the vinegar reacts with the salt and cleans the copper oxide on the coins which was making them look dirty! Cool, eh?!
