Birds of Prey in St. Declan’s

Sam and Ann visited us yesterday and brought some visitors to our school. They had a selection of birds of prey-barn owls, tawny owls, Bengal owls, ravens and ferrets. They spoke to all classes about the different types of birds they had, about how important birds of prey are to the conservation of our ecosystem and the natural beauty they bring to our countryside. They are a part of our heritage and future generations and we need to understand the important role they play in our world. They children got to see the birds close up and handle them Thank you Sam and Ann for a very interesting and educational day.
