Ms Collins’ 2nd class and Mr Barry’s 2nd class met the Big Friendly Giant (by Roald Dahl) this week  in Ashbourne library as part of the  Children’s Book Festival. The Tallest Smallest Theatre, run by Arran Towers, ran a workshop in the library this week. The Big Friendly Giant was seven foot tall and sat on a huge chair and chatted to the two classes about giants and dreams.  The children got to read some of the story as part of this interactive workshop. It was great fun !!
