On Thursday the 27th of November, Dillon Elebert from 4th, Sarah Moore Lang and Hannah Crowe from 5th and James Delaney from 6th went to an Attendance Consultation in the Department of Education on Marlborough Street in Dublin City. They met children from other schools and were asked their opinions on attendance in schools and how attendance could be improved. They were asked their opinions on a range of subjects from use of sensory rooms in schools, homework and how to communicate worries to their teachers and parents. They wrote a letter to the Minister for Education, Hildegarde Naughton and suggested improvements that she can make in her Department in order to improve school attendance in Ireland.
