As part of the legacy of Ashbourne 2020, there will be a time capsule buried in the new ‘Ashbourne Memorial Garden‘ which will be located near Dunnes Stores. This time capsule will be opened in 50 years’ time, in the year 2070. This capsule will contain drawings and written pieces of work of what life has been like in Ashbourne during the year 2020. Therefore, all primary school students in Ashbourne are being invited to draw a picture or write a piece over the Christmas holidays about the year 2020. Please write your full name and address on the back of it, and mark the envelope for the attention of Ciaran Donnelly Ashbourne 2020 Time Capsule Entry, and drop your drawing/written piece into Murtaghs Topline in Ashbourne, before the 31st January 2021. Your special painting/written piece will then be included in the capsule and buried in the Memorial Garden that will be completed in as soon as circumstances will allow in 2021.
