Ashbourne Youth Centre

The Ashbourne Youth Centre is due to re-open after the summer, but we are delaying this slightly in order to train up some new volunteers. If you like working with young people and have an hour or two to spare, keep reading!

The Ashbourne Youth Centre has been worked on very hard by its dedicated committee for the past several years. Now, we are in a position to run an amazing facility for young people, but we really need volunteer help in order to maintain its success. The young people of Ashbourne have waited a long time for this project to come to fruition and we are so pleased to have everything in place now.

We are looking for volunteers (18+) to help guide and nurture young people in the community. Our mission is to provide a fun, friendly and safe venue for the youth of Ashbourne to use including 5th and 6th class children. We provide a range of services and activities – most of which were designed by the youth members themselves – to help foster creativity, independence and togetherness. The Ashbourne Youth Centre is an opportunity for young people to take part in something new and make friends!

All volunteers will be Garda Vetted and will receive certified Child Protection Training. The next training session will take place on the 7th of October from 7pm-10pm in the Ashbourne Youth Centre Building.
