We had a very busy week in St. Declan’s for Active Schools Week. All classes participated in different workshops throughout the week and a number of the workshops were run by our own teachers. On Monday the 10th of June we had Irish Dancing for Junior Infants and Senior Infants with Ms Jenkinson and Ms Joyce. On Tuesday the 13th of June we had an active sports quiz for 5th and 6th class in the PE Hall and Naoise from the Rugby Club in Ashbourne facilitated rugby coaching for the children in 4th, 5th and 6th class. We also had our Junior Sports Day that day. On Wednesday the 12th of June Healthy Kidz facilitated a workshop for the children in 1st and 2nd class. We also had our Senior Sports Day on that day. On Thursday the 13th of June Áine hosted yoga workshops with Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 2nd class.Maura from Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA facilitated GAA coaching for the children in 3r and 4th class. On Friday the 14th of June Klass Kicks hosted a soccer workshop for the children in 5th and 6th class and Master Joe facilitated a Taekwondo workshop for the children in 1st, 3rd and 4th class. 

 Thank you to Mr Curran (Our Sports Coordinator) and our Active School Committee for organising the week. It was a huge success, enjoyed by all.
